Creating the children’s book was most definitely the best part of the semester. Graphic design, however amateur my skills may be, is one of my absolute passions. Putting my group’s ideas together with our designs for Rami, Nina, and the cast of characters in our beautiful collaborative project was nice during the spring break. It was even more rewarding considering how lovely the end product was. I am so proud of my group for coming together and making something that is representative of all of us. I often found myself exchanging projects and peer reviewing with Abiola, Alanis, and Raffy, and they were so helpful with suggesting alterations to certain pages of the book. For example, Alanis found new images to replace the sports car I placed on the page showing the differences between Nina and Rami’s living situations. They helped make the children’s book even better.
